Blue Butterfly kite

Description

This blue Butterfly kite is the same shape, size and design as it’s sister kite, the Rainbow Butterfly. Like the Rainbow, this is a beautifully printed sail in brilliant colour that, when the sunlight shines through it, looks like a ‘stained glass window design. It looks truely magnificent in the sky. So realistic, I’m sure this will fool many a bird!

This kite is designed as an image of the Ulysses Butterfly. The famous symbol of Queenslands tropical Dunk Island resort in the Whitsundays.

With it’s large sail, the blue butterfly kite will fly in a wide wind range from fairly light breezes to quite fresh winds. It is a high-aspect kite. This means that it will fly very high in the sky. If this is a kite for very young kids, they may need some help in assembling it, but it is a very, very easy kite to fly.

The blue Butterfly kiteis what we put into the ‘others’ category because it’s not a regular kite shape like Diamonds or Deltas. But it’s got the best characteristics of both…it flys in a wide wind range, it’s really stable in the sky and is really easy to fly. What more could you ask for! The blue Butterfly kite is part of a design group often referred to as a ‘compound kite’. The long 3-strand tails on each wingtip give it it’s great stability in stronger winds and the multi point bridle keeps the kite in balance…this gives you more days when you can fly it…

This butterfly kite is beautifully screen printed with the white center giving a truely irridesent effect as the sunlight shines through the sail while the black outline makes the kite stand out in the sky. Blue Butterfly kites also make great wall decorations when there’s no wind to go flying!
