Junior Delta kite

Description

The Junior Delta kite is a large kite for children that flys really well in light and medium winds. Made here in Australia by Windspeed Kites, this kite is very, very efficient because of it’s large sail area. It will fly in lighter winds than just about any other kite.

Made using high quality overlocked ripstop cloth and 4mm fiberglass frame, the Junior Delta kite is an excellent flyer and it’s light weight makes it able to do it’s job as a light wind kite even better.

Kite Type:

Delta kites are single string kites for children and they are very well suited to light winds. This light wind ability comes from a big sail area which generates lots of ‘lift’ to get the kite up nice and high. To keep deltas nice and steady in the air as the wind picks up, we have long tails on them and these tails give the deltas ‘drag’ which keeps them stable in stronger winds.

A fairly modern design, deltas have only been around for about 80 years, no where near as long as diamond shapes that go back thousands of years. Kids love flying deltas because they are easy to fly, they fly in light winds and stat up nice and steady in medium winds.  

 It’s very easy to assemble, super easy to fly and look great in the sky.

Because deltas are mainly suited to light winds, we’ve extended the wind range of the Junior Delta kite by adding it’s wingtip tails giving it more stability. But you can get even more stability in stronger winds by adding even more tail.
