Giant Spinners (called Bols):

First up, lets clarify that these are not kites! They are giant spinners, usually about 4 meters in diameter but they do vary. They have only one job, to look spectacular as they spin in the wind! We use them at kite festivals and displays because they are such attention getters…they really look spectacular.
All of the Bols you see here are made by Roger Martin of Sydney. Roger is one of Australia’s foremost kite flyers and gets invited to kite festivals around the world to fly his hand crafted kites. All of his Bols are hand made and v-v-very unique, each one is individually designed and  hand made by Roger. Once it’s made, he moves on to another design. They are genuninely one-offs.
