Description

4 metre Emperor Banner complete with Spinning Ball and Top Flag – Great for events or in the garden.

You can use these 4 metre Emperor banners as outdoor display banners or simply garden decoration. Great in the front yard or for special events like weddings, open houses or garden displays. They are made with high quality, heavy duty components to withstand, as much as is possible, our harsh Australian elements. The banner itself is sewn with SolarMax banner cloth, a very high quality 4 oz Oxford nylon. The telescopic pole is strong fiberglass with stainless steel or heavy poly fittings attached. Another great advantage of the SolarMax cloth is it’s ‘colour density’. It shows deep and rich colours because it it’s thickness. This is different to the fabrics we use to make kites. They are more transparent as the sun shines through them. This is desirable because a kite sail needs to be strong yet light for best kite performance.

Details:

As well as the banner itself fluttering in the breeze, the spherical Spinning Ball at the top of the banner spins as the wind blows through it’s vanes. Specially angled to catch the breeze, these look great as they spin. To top it all off there is a small direction indicator flag above the Ball. A Stainless Steel evelet is also at the very top of the pole. This is great for attaching a windsock, spinsock or set of streamers. It all happens with this 4 metre Rainbow Banner.

Components:

The pole itself is telescopic. This means it is in 4 different sections each just over a metre long that fit inside one another. The hollow and tapered sections fit one inside the other with the upper end being thinner then the lower end. These were originally designed as extendable fishing poles. The short sections can slide into each other to make a much longer rod. Called Hawaiian Fishing Poles, the fishermen loved them because it gave them a long rod that was easily and simply ‘telescoped’. This made it easy to carry and store.

Design:

Premier Kites in the USA designed these 4 metre Emperor banners to conveniently pack in a PVC bag. If you ever want to store it, the whole thing packs away into a bag that is only a metre long.

Use:

What to do with these 4 metre banners? We use them as displays at kite festivals. But most of the ones we’ve seen as used as either decorations in the front yard or as a few grouped together for display in things like outdoor weddings and events or for real estate open houses or garden shows. We know of a couple that use 6 of them as an outdoor aisle for their party event business.  balconies.

I mentioned above the small stainless steel evelet at the very top of the pole. This is great for attaching other types of wind decorations to. We use a colourful fish windsock on ours but they look great with a spinsock or a set of spinning baskets….whatever takes your fancy!

What’s in the bag?

The 4 metre Emperor banner sets come complete with everything you need to get them up and keep them up. The bottom end of the banner has a shock cord loop that slips over the stainless steel catch bound to the bottom of the pole. This is so the banner can never fly off the pole. The pole itself has a screw on cap at the base to stop any of the inner telescopic sections sliding out.

Each banner kit also comes with a very heavy duty ground stake setup. They contain a specially designed molded stake and a strong fiberglass pole. Simply drive the stake into the ground then slip the 1 metre long fiberglass rod in to this ground stake and slide the hollow telescopic pole over this rod and it’s ready to fly! (ah, flutter). Oh, there is also a lug on the side of the molded ground stake as well. Good if you want to shock cord the banner to the ground as well as to the pole, just for added security in stiffer winds.
