Large 2.7m Deltas

Description

These large 2.7m deltas are from Premier Kites in USA, they are exceptional quality and look truly magnificent in flight.

These are b-b-big kites with a good amount of pull so definitely not for young kids, more for the adults who want to play at being young kids 🙂

They have a wide wind range from fairly light to fresh winds……this means that there are ‘more days when you can play with it.’

Suitable for teens and adults, these Deltas are very stable in the sky and lend themselves very well to long flowing tails.

The sail is made of heavy duty rip stop sailcloth and the frame is super strong 7mm and 8mm fiberglass. As a result of these really strong materials, you can expect  your kite to be around for a long, long time. Expect this to be a kite you pass down to your grandkids!

Kite Type:

Delta kites are single string kites that are very well suited to light winds. This light wind ability comes from a big sail area which generates lots of ‘lift’ to get the kite up nice and high. To keep deltas nice and steady in the air as the wind picks up, we often add long tails to them and these tails give the deltas ‘drag’ which keeps them stable in stronger winds.

A fairly modern design, deltas have only been around for about 80 years, no where near as long as diamond shapes that go back thousands of years. Everybody loves flying deltas because they are easy to fly, they fly in light winds and sit up nice and steady in medium winds.  

 It’s very easy to assemble, super easy to fly and look great in the sky.

Because deltas are mainly suited to light winds, you can extended the wind range by adding it’s wingtip tails giving it more stability.
