The Dragonfly kite is a beautifully printed design that kids and adults alike will love in the sky. It is a great flyer in medium winds and we’ve included a blue spinsock extends this wind range even more. In other words, as the wind picks up and the Dragonfly starts to get a little unstable, just bring it down and attach the Spinsock ‘drogue ‘and the kite will fly for another 10 knots of wind. The Dragonfly has a very wide wingspan for a pretty short body so it’s great in light winds as well.

The beautiful gossemer-like printing make the kite look like a real dragonfly in flight, kids and adults will love it in the sky while it flutters and wiggles in the sly.It’s curved fiberglass frame sweeps its wings down and back for better aeronautical shape. The Dragonfly, like all of our kites, comes complete with flying string on a handle. In this case it’s 30kg breaking strain twisted nylon line. In other words, everything you need to fly your Dragonfly is in the bag…all you need is wind!

The Dragonfly has a wide wingspan (about 1.6 meters) and it’s light but strong fiberglass frame gives it great lift in light winds while the spinsock tail makes it really stable as the wind picks up. It has a 4mm hollow fiberglass frame that’s kept in tension by velcro pockets on the wingtips. The hollow rods give it an excellent ‘sail to weight ratio’ which is kite-speak for not weighing much for it’s size. Made with ripstop nylon sailcloth and super strong fiberglass, the Dragonfly kite will give you years of relaxing flying.

This Dragonfly kite is in the ‘others’ category. It’s not a delta, it’s not a diamond nor is it a long dragon. As a Single String kite it’s very well suited to kids of most ages in light and medium winds. It’s wingspan give it good lift and it’s spinsock tail give the Dragonfly excellent stability….the best of both worlds.
